"DR THERON TREATS A SCOPE OF URINARY CONDITIONS AND MALE REPRODUCTIVE DISEASES."
Dr Pieter Theron graduated in 1996 with an MBChB from the University of the Free State. After his internship year in 1997, he worked at 2 Military Hospital in Wynberg, where he found the urology field to be both challenging and satisfying and specialised as a Urologist from 2001–2006. He completed his Masters in Urology at the University of Stellenbosch and became a Fellow of the College of Urologists of South Africa, with FC Urol (SA).
He went into full-time private practice at Netcare N1 City Hospital in 2008. He is interested in diagnosing and managing urological cancers and stone disease, and female and paediatric urology.
When commencing treatment or performing surgeries, Dr Theron ensures his patient’s wellbeing remains a priority at all times. Although he specialises in diverse urological conditions that affect men, women and children, he has a particular interest in stone disease and brachytherapy as a management option for prostate cancer.
